Hi Experts,

I have received an awful error message regarding Printing. The error message “Printing Error. The Adobe Print Engine has failed to output your data due to an unknown problem” appears frequently.

I do not understand this error message. If you have any idea regarding this issue please help me.

Thanks in advance.

Do the following:

1. Exit InDesign.

2. Rename the SavedData file in InDesign and incorrectly the Defaults file (InDesign SavedData.old, InDesign Defaults.old) into the following directories –

Windows XP: C:/Documents and Settings/[user name]/Application Data/Adobe/InDesign/[Version]

Windows 7/Vista: C:/Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/InDesign/[Version]Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/[Version]

3. Now open InDesign. InDesign will create preference files.

So the old preference files will be replaced by new ones and your problem should be fixed.
