Sandra Teylor,

Microsoft launched its new windows named as windows 8 after the huge success of Windows 7. Microsoft has added new features to make it more users friendly and versatile. Microsoft has decided to have operating system not only for PC but also for tablets and smart phones.

Both versions of windows use the same core system and windows 8 Apollo uses it on its basic level.

Windows 8 is for PCs and tablets and windows 8 Apollo is for smart phones. The main difference is the hardware requirement as I mentioned above.

On windows 8 ×86/64 software can be installed while on windows 8 Apollo mobile software can be installed.

Windows 8 has some features which are not in Apollo like, support for multi monitors, control panel etc.

While windows 8 Apollo has some different features like sensor fusion and real time location.

As a conclusion, You will find Windows 8 in PCs and tablets and Windows 8 Apollo in smart phones and Apollo is the basic version of windows 8.
