Acer Camera Capture Utility Software Problem.

Hi TechyV community!

I am having problem regarding the Acer camera capture utility software.

It seems It can’t capture any shots from the Crystal eye camera.

And I am having a hard time doing way to solve it but none has worked. Is there a way to find the problem with the camera?

What could that be?

Any help would be appreciated.

Acer Camera Capture Utility Software Problem.

Hello Roya,

In order for your Crystal Eye Camera to work you will need to have installed the right drivers for it. To download the latest drivers for your ACER you can look at the following website: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

If updating your drivers doesn't work, you can try uninstalling Acer Camera Capture Utility and doing a clean install of it, after rebooting your computer.

Hi Roya Munguia,

You didn’t mention which version you used. Because Acer Crystal Eye webcam 1.8.1.0 version doesn’t work on Windows 7 64 bit. You also didn’t mention which operating system (OS) you used. Besides, it is cause for Acer camera capture utility software and drivers. 

You can install the drivers and suitable camera capture software. You can also reinstall a latest version of Acer camera capture utility software. You can get your necessary drivers from here Acer drivers.

Acer Camera Capture Utility Software Problem.

When you buy an Acer laptop, it normally comes with a driver CD like with my sister’s Acer Aspire laptop. And that CD contains multiple drivers per device. Like for example, for the touchpad and webcam, I found more than one driver for these devices. So, since you are also using an Acer laptop, this might also be the same.

So, since your webcam is not working properly with the driver you installed, try installing the other driver for the webcam that comes with the CD. On the other hand, if your laptop doesn’t ship with a driver CD, you can always download all the drivers from the Acer website. Go to Acer Support Drivers and Manuals.

Here, enter your laptop’s serial number, SNID, or model number on the search field and click “FIND” to identify your device. You can find them on the label at the bottom of your laptop. Once your device is identified, select your correct operating system and then download all the applicable drivers for your machine. This should fix the problem.
