How to convert Gremlins from VOB format to WMV?

I cannot understand why but whenever I convert my Gremlins from VOB format to WMV, it is always unsuccessful. It always stops at 61% and then a message will come out saying “Error occurred during conversion -996. Please try again with another codec such as FFDShow.” Has anybody encountered this kind of error before with JetAudio and knows how to solve it? Please help me if you are. I will be very thankful for such help.

How to convert Gremlins from VOB format to WMV?

As the error message states, the conversion from a VOB format file to WMV requires that you use an FFDSHOW codec, and  it seems that you are using some other codec. You will therefore need to change the conversion settings such the codec that is being used in the process is the ffdshow codec.

If that does not work, you can try using a third party application to do the conversion. I will recommend for you an application called xilisoft converter. It will not only enable you to convert VOB video files to WMV, but it will also enable you to convert them in other file formats like MP4. Divx and even audio formats as you like.
