Email Message Not showing on the Output Tray

You received an email from a stranger in your address book indicating that they got an email message coming from you and you didn't answer to them to stay in touch, but the message does not appear in the output tray.

What should I do?

Email Message Not showing on the Output Tray

Let me just understand your question. What you mean is you received a message on your email stating that you need to respond on it to discuss something but since you do not know where it came from or do not know what it was all about, what you did, was delete the message on your Inbox and when you tried to recover the message that had been edited out of your Inbox, it is no longer on the Trash Folder as well. If that's the case, you can try to call the customer service hotline of your email provider and check if they can retrieve it for you.

For your future reference, you can change the mail settings on your account wherein once you delete something on your folders, it will still go to the Trash folder and it is up to your preference as to when it will be deleted forever.

So you got an email message from a person who is not in your address book, and there were claiming that they received a mail from you but you did not send them an email, right? And then when you got the message it should be residing in your inbox, and I am confused as to why you are saying that the email cannot be retrieved from the output tray when you are supposed to be checking the email in your inbox.

In case you cannot locate the email in the inbox, then you might have deleted it. For the email being from a stranger you might have been less interested in viewing what it has. But you can try checking the trash folder and see if it has the email message, because deleted mails are stored in the trash folder.

Email Message Not showing on the Output Tray

Thanks, Arnold Steve.  I contacted the customer service hotline of my email provider and they said they can retrieve the e-mail, it took only a week.

I still don't know why it vanished since when I delete my other emails they were in the trash, anyway,
