Sony Automation tv full management capability

I'm trying to fully automate my house starting with the tv.  Recently bought the Sony STR-DA2800ES receiver with built in Control4 software for beginners.  I'm planning to download Control4 app for 4th generation ipod touch version 4.1 for the main control.  Do I need other hardware and software for me to be able to maximize Control4's automation tv full capability?
