I have the Passport SE Essential and Vista Business operating systems. Often, the WDFME.exe process continues and resumes my computer. The only way to stop this is to restart. Can not safely eject it due to an error. I have to restart almost every day. How can I prevent this process from taking over my machine?

Solution To Wdfme Exe

There are three solutions. We must do without SmartWare. This is possible if you do not want to use SmartWare as a single backup solution. Smartware does not provide drivers. Windows native drivers do the work. Second, you need to uninstall Smartware and unlock your drive with VCD using the unlock.exe file on the VCD (virtual drive) if you still want to use the password lock feature. The third option is to uninstall an older version of Smartware and install the latest version of Smartware. This version claims to be free of problems, but I doubt it.
