Not able to print any document from my PC

I have an Cannon LBP800 Printer. It has stopped working, the printer is not responding to signals from the computer. The printer itself will make a copy that mean self test is working. I have uninstall the printer and reinstalling it. But problem not solved.

As you said that your printer is not responding, there might be some reason for it e.g. inappropriate graphics on the document, wrong page selection or printer output issues. As you said that the Test print is alright, so you might be printing document from other software apart from Microsoft Word, check that as well.

Check your printing driver and update it with other programs as well and always select the Printer option with the one you are using currently, because different windows have different option for printing the document. Preview the document before printing it to make sure that you print the right document.

I also experienced that on one of the printers I checked before. Try restarting your computer then try printing again. Be sure that the printer is turned ON and its printer cable or USB cable is properly attached to the computer.

If it still doesn’t work, uninstall the printer’s application from your computer. After that, check your computer for any possible errors.

Use a disk utility application to check the system. Next, install the printer’s application again then try doing a test print. If the operation still failed, you might want to check your printer’s USB cable if it uses the USB type.

If you can successfully do a test print on the printer itself, the problem is with the USB cable it uses. It might have been damaged. Just replace it with the same type.
