Nokia Lumia stuck on downloading page

Hi there,

I have Nokia Lumia 520, am trying to download Bing and am taking like forever, am stuck on the downloading animation, no bar to indicate the percentage downloading, and I cannot multitask without cancelling the download, How can I download in the background? What is wrong with this phone?

Nokia Lumia stuck on downloading page

Performance issue is known for Nokia Lumia 520. The unresponsive seems to be contributed because of OS issues rather than RAM or memory issues. Any application running requires heavy phone resources. Even downloading from windows also consumes lots of your free memory. I would recommend you to check all running processes in your phone and if not required exist them before downloading. Also, it is recommendable to download from windowsphone.com site rather than any other site which authenticate the user before pushing the download to your system. I hope this is not a problem with your ISP and the connection speed is good. Alternatively, you may download the browser application in PC and then transfer it to external SDcard through cable. Then try to run the installation directly from SDCard.
