I don't mean adjusting the sound level on the computer.

How to make an audio file itself louder?

Hello Daphne13.

You will need an audio editing program to increase the volume of an audio file. Fortunately for you there is an excellent audio editing program out there. It's called Audacity and you can get it for free from this site: https://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/

Audacity lets you edit audio files. You can splice and join files. It lets you apply several effects to the audio such as Amplify, Normalize, Noise Removal, and more. To amplify the audio you only need to open the file (which can be almost any audio file format such as WAV, MP3, OGG, and more), select "Effect" from the Menu and choose "Amplify". You will then see this:

How to make an audio file itself louder?

There are many different ways of making an audio file louder than its normal sound. If you are familiar with audio editing software, you may install one. Like for example the one I have, CoolEdit Pro. This software is used in editing different audio files. You can use it to divide or split one audio file into two or several smaller chunks, edit the file, merge or combine several different audio files into one music file, and more. And of course, in editing the file you can make it louder or quieter.

For example in an MP3 file, you can normalize it to equalize the sound in the whole music and also to make it a little bit louder or softer. Besides using an audio editing tool, you can also use audio or video conversion tool like ImTOO MPEG Encoder Platinum. It is a video conversion application that can also convert audio files and supports different media file formats. I mainly use it as a video conversion tool. With ImTOO MPEG Encoder Platinum, you can load any audio file or files, convert it to a different format or maybe the same format and adjust the volume of the file up to 200%; default is 100% doesn’t change the volume level.

Hey buddies, take my warm regards. Both of your contributions were good, but Sharaths’ attaching info was very usable and reliable as well easily applicable too. He is a genius when it comes to this thing because by studying his comment, I also agree with his opinion, Cool Edit Pro is super software which helps me to edit the files, combine several audio files into a music file, also I can make it louder or quieter and more which Information was not known to me. Your other tips were also needed to bear in mind. Now I have succeeded to do the desired work and I was overwhelmed with joy. Thanks Sharath for helping me.
