I supposed to install windows messenger to IM with friends. I know that it is not common, but some of my friends are already addicted to it.

I think you are a bit late in choosing Windows Live messenger. Microsoft recently bought Skype as an alternative to their messenger and they will close this soon. So you will not be able to use this messenger for long.
Anyway, you can still download and install this to use for a while. Go to the below link to download Windows live Essential pack which includes windows live messenger too. You can uncheck the other programs if you don’t like to download and install them.
