I’m not sure if the problem is with the installer though I guess not because if you are using a Huawei mobile broadband stick, I don’t think the installer will get corrupted. Because if you are using a Huawei wireless mobile broadband USB modem, the installer of the modem is built-in to the stick on a ROM storage.

It will only get damaged if the modem is damaged. If you bought the modem from your cellular network then kindly ask them if the device supports 64-bit operating system or 64-bit Microsoft Windows 7. Because if in case it doesn’t support 64-bit platforms then you will have a problem. You cannot use it on your computer because you have a 64-bit Windows 7.

You only see the folder “Program Files (x86)” on x64 Microsoft Windows because in x86 it is only “Program Files” without the “(x86)” string. So to fix the problem, you need to find a driver for your modem that works on 64-bit Windows 7. You may also visit Vodafone Mobile Broadband Modem Huawei Drivers and see if there is a driver compatible with your modem.
