Is there an online Excel repair application?

I am running Windows XP SP2 on my computer and I have Microsoft Office 2003 installed. I have several MS Excel files in one of the folders on my computer when I got a virus and the files have been corrupted. I am not able to open them as well as my MS Office. Is there any online Excel Repair Software that I can use to repair this? Thanks in advance.

Is there an online Excel repair application?

Hi, an Excel worksheet may get corrupted due to a virus infection or hardware malfunction etc.

The most common errors of MS Excel SpreadSheet are:

1. Unable to read files

2. This file is not in a recognizable format.

3. XLS cannot be accessed, the file may be read only.

If you get the above errors messages during your work, just try the following simple steps:

1. Set Calculation to manual by doing the following actions: open Excel, then choose “Tools”, pick “Options” from the menu, click the “Calculation” tab and choose “Manual”, then click OK. Now try to open the file.

Open the file, but disable macros. If that does not work, try using the Open and Repair Option to repair the Excel file:

Simply choose “File”, “Open”, select the problem file and instead of “Open” choose the “Open and Repair” option as in the picture in the attached file.
