Not able to install Xtreme audio

Greetings all,

I cannot seem to install Xtreme audio. I tried to do everything I can think of to fix this but still got no good result.

There’s supposed to be a tweak for PCI ET series but I can’t find any. I think the older versions of programs are better than these new ones. I have finished the Prelude and Audigy drivers got updated. Then I got this frustrating error going 'Setup is unable to detect as supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this Setup program'. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you all.

Please respond.

Hi there Paul H Dawson,

Please, follow the next steps in order to install the software successfully:

Via the Control Panel, Add/Remove programs remove all the Creative drivers you've installed and you can find.

Restart your computer just to make sure nothing is hanging and all drivers are successfully uninstalled.

Turn your computer off, unplug it and insert the Creative sound card.
Once the system is up, you should get the notice that the new device is found. Let the system install all the drivers for you and wait until it says that  the device software is successfully installed.

This method is called clean boot and helps your system to register the problematic device without being interrupted with the drivers.

Now it's time to download and install the drivers and any additional software you'd like to have. Visit the http://support.creative.com/Products/Products.aspx?catid=1, find, download and install everything you need.

If the clean boot didn't work there could be a problem with your hardware so you may want to visit the local repair service to check it.

Best regards,
Drake Vivian
