Invalid or corrupt xwpdlx20.ocx-related Registry entry. I am often getting this message on my laptop. I am using windows 10. Also, sometimes I get this message – “Another program maliciously or mistakenly deleted the xwpdlx20.ocx file.” How to solve this?
Follow the steps below to solve the problem:
1. Run an antivirus scan to ensure that this issue is not caused by any kind of virus.
2. If you did not find any virus, you need to re-register the file. This is how you do it. Run command prompt as administrator by right-clicking the command prompt. Then type this in the command prompt window regsvr32 [full path of the xwpdlx20.ocx file] and hit enter. If it is successfully registered, you will get the following message.
3. Otherwise, again run command prompt as administrator and enter the following command sfc /scannow and press enter. It will take some time to scan and repair the corrupt files.
4. If nothing works, you have to repair the registry by using some software available on the internet. Otherwise, delete your OS and reinstall it again.
