Hi Moses,

In order to reset the password  for the Xerox Workcentre, you need to be in debug mode if you have either lost your password or forgotten it. Please note that do not adjust anything in the debug mode if you are not sure of anything reason being it can lead you to trouble.

  • In order to enter the debug mode, you need to keep pressing the 0 button for 5 seconds and then without releasing the 0 button press the start button on the control panel.
  • Next,it will prompt you to enter the passcode.
  • The default password is 6789.
  • As you are in the debug mode, you can change the username and password as per your wish.

If you have already logged in as the administrator, please follow these steps:

  • Select the Machine status button on the control panel and press it.
  • Now select the tools tab
  • Select Authentication/Security Settings.
  • Press System Administrator Settings.
  • Enter System Administrator Login.
  • On the Login ID Screen, select keyboard.
  • Enter username and save.
  • In the retype line, choose the keyboard.
  • Type the same login ID and save twice.
  • If it prompts that Do you want to change the System Administrator's Login ID? Choose Yes.
  • Select System Administrator Passcode.
  • Next select keyboard.
  • Enter the New passcode and save.
  • Retype passcode and select the keyboard
  • Type the same passcode and save twice.
  • It will prompt asking that Do you want to change the System Administrator's Passcode? Select yes
  • After the changes take place, it will give you an option asking to reboot the machine
