Hi everyone!
I don't have much experience so I would appreciate it if your answer to this problem was detailed.
I am finding it very difficult to work on the OrCAD 16.2Â demo version.
The error troubling me is this: Release OrCAD 16.2 Setup
SetEnvironmentVariable(): Failed to get CDS_LIC_FILE value from registry. Self registration of executables might fail.

I don't think that license is necessary for it to be working properly so please tell me how to cope with this one.

Working on OrCad 16.2 demo
To start with if any product requires licensing then it is good to ensure you acquire the license to work with the product smoothly.
Verification is very important because it eliminates risks using your product. Seemingly your main problem is the license because without the license which provides design verification directly from the PCB Editor's database the engineers cannot help you access the signal.
To get your license get in touch with the Cadence Channel Partner listing for technical support and training inquiries on your OrCAD. They will give you information about how to use your OrCAD and avoid such errors in future and you will also make informed choices on the product you are using.
