This is a partition problem. Windows Vista setup was unable to continue because it cannot recognize a partition when the value of the partition on the last DWORD is set to 0. Or if you are running a clean installation, remove your old OS partitions or reformat it to install your new OS.

You can also try the Hotfix available on Microsoft website.

If you are installing a 64bit version of Windows Vista, it will not continue if your base system is a 32bit version of windows. Ensure that your processor supports 64bit operating systems, and try to install Windows Vista by boot installation. This will ensure that the installation process is not constrained within another environment.
