Here is the error:

C:Program Files (x86)Windows Media PlayerUSERNV.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your software vendor for support.

Error Status: 0xc0000428

Can you tell me what could have caused this error? I really need help on this one. Thank you!

As the errors says, "C:Program Files (x86)Windows Media PlayerUSERNV.dll is either not designed to run on windows", it only means that the USERNV.dll cannot be run on Windows. Windows cannot support that file type. So try to delete or remove the C:Program Files (x86)Windows Media PlayerUSERNV.dll or rename it and see if it will work. You may also need to reinstall your Windows 8 Consumer Preview because there might be some problem with the installation.

Dear user,

This would clearly indicate that your installation process wasn’t completed successfully,

Your media player doesn’t work because of that. The simplest solution is reinstalling your Windows 8 CP.

And make sure your computer is compatible with the installation. And have required configurations.

Thank you
