We’ve been all talking about smartphones these past few days specifically Apple’s  iOS, Microsoft did launch its very own Windows Phone 7 last August 2011.

Although Microsoft leads the computer industry for the past decade, how come Apple manufacturing company stole this popularity over Microsoft in terms of phone operating system when in fact they’ve been so experienced about this?

Howdy Arjyn? Very interesting question. These two companies have their own specialties. As you have mentioned that Microsoft lead sthe computer industry and we all know that Apple leads the smartphone industry. Apple is more popular in terms of phone because this is really their expertise. Same with Microsoft which their expertise is computer. However, it takes time for the newly introduced product like Windows Phone 7 to boom or become popular in the market because people will choose a product that is already proven and tested. I hope that this has enlighten you. Have a wonderful day and more power!

If you put it that way, iPhone Macintosh is more popular than Windows Phone 7 as of now, is somewhat true. It's all about marketing the product and nowadays, iPhone smartphone is getting the nod.

It's because iPhone smartphone has this something that people is looking into it every now and then. The new features added, the looks and the price does really create a buzz on Tv and Internet.

Windows is in their racing closed to iPhone in terms of popularity. They're always going head to head ever since and will ever be. They have this product that makes them legend in this era,  trademark their expertise to the fullest.

Mac begins to surpass Windows in smartphone world but windows is closing in. iPhone maybe in the to right now but sooner or later, windows will find it's mark to get the thrown back. This is all about momentum and willing top spend $dollars in marketing. Let's just wait and see in the next couple of months, who will be the king again.

Apple has been able to understand what consumers and smartphone users are looking for and are actually great with how they market and introduce their products. While it is true that Microsoft has been very successful with their operating system and has the highest market share in all computers, their mobile operating system hasn't really been able to give a WOW experience to the consumers. Many don't really like the interface and it is rather slow. iOS on the other hand has been quite easy to use as far as what a user needs it for is concerned and has been able to make good use of its hardware even if, hardware-wise, there are other smartphones that have better specifications. This gave Apple the upper hand and has been able to maintain it since.

Windows haven’t left by any one, it’s just Iphone now is popular when you talk about phones, while windows in computers. But if you look also to phone of windows it’s almost similar to the functionality, performance of latest iphone. But in some other parts Iphone still better than windows phone. Iphone 4 is very popular than windows phone and that because iphone was tested already by lots of user. Windows always update. We know that and after a years windows can compete and can beat the apple, we know that. So apple needs to update always to maintain their position in the market.
