Windows 7 Scheduler for System Restore is not working

I set up a daily schedule for restoring creation point but when I tried to restore, no schedule has been created and just now, my microphone is not working anymore.

I was wondering what happened because I am sure the set schedule was working before.

I modified its settings so that it will work whether I am logged in or not. I did not find any restrictions that would hinder it from working.

The following are the actions done:

a) Time based triggers.

b) Browsed the folder directory C:program filesdeltacaddeltacad.exe

c) Plugged on a 240V power.

d) Modified settings: Allow the task to run manually. Stop the task if it runs for more than three days. If the running task does not end when requested, force it to stop.

The history has shown successful completions.

I attempted to schedule the operation of a simple drafting program, which is the deltacad.exe. Unfortunately, nothing happened. Then I tried running it manually using SCHTASKS.EXE/RUN/TN. A small CMD window showed up but still it looked like nothing has happened.

However, when I tried running the Process Explorer, there were 3 issues found: one of the scheduled run and the two from the manual run. Yet none of those showed a GUI, and if I drag the window in front of Process Explorer, the option turns gray. Nevertheless, when the program runs by itself by activating it through Windows, it results in a successful load and it will run.

Any suggestions or advice regarding this matter will be appreciated.

Hi,

Possible causes for your problem may be:

1. Your Tasck Scheduler Service is not correctly set.

2. Event Viewer Services not correctly set.

3. Port 135 is blocked

4. DCOM support is disabled.

Local Sysetm Account

Solutions, try the following:

Task Scheduler makes sure the Startup type is AUTOMATIC (STARTED, Logged on as: Local-System)

Start menu > services.msc

Kind regards

joul

Hello R Palmer,

You must need to start your service automatically. Before that, you need to open the Run Box (Windows key + R).

Then type “services.msc”. Go to the Task Scheduler service and make sure that your service is Started and Automatic.

The safest way is to reinstall your service if you have a full backup file.

Thank You.

Paul Jolie.
