Hi, I am completely new to techyv. I guess nobody has asked this before.

I love retro gaming, and also late eighties and nineties software…

Is there any Windows 3.11 emulator for Windows 8 out there? I would love to run on my Windows 8 games such as Street Fighter, Prince of Persia.

Otherwise, there is some other way to run old software?

Thank you in advance,

Those 2 games run on Windows 95 and 98, but I have some other older programs for Windows 3.11, for example, some versions of Lotus, MS OS, etc. Thank you.

If you want to run and play very old games that normally run in DOS mode, your best option would be to use DOSBox. DOSBox is a DOS emulator that runs on Microsoft Windows. With an emulated DOS environment, you can run almost any program that basically runs on the DOS environment particularly games. Download the latest version, DOSBox 0.74-2.

Version 0.74-2 is an update to 0.74 that fixes auto/max cycles algorithm on Microsoft Windows 7 which fixes the problem with stuttering audio. All game compatibilities are the same with version 0.74. There is an upcoming release of DOSBox, DOSBox 0.75, which will be released soon once the testing phase is completed. DOSBox 0.74-2 was released to serve as fallback in case DOSBox 0.75 breaks your favorite games.
