Hello There,

Many complain against Xperia Z for weak Wi-Fi signal. Some people have had trouble connecting to network and some faced signal drop frequently. For some cases problem caused when Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are. Another possibility is power-saving Stamina Mode, stops auto sync and can cut. Display always goes off during a call once proximity sensor analyzes respective ear/touch.

1. So, first check strength of wifi signal, if this is not ok, then don’t perform rest of the steps

There are thousands of good free wifi strength scanner apps in google play

2. Turn off blue tooth

3. Turn off stamina mode

Now try, your problem should get resolved by now.

I don’t think that’s a problem because it is normal. Just like with a computer, when you are downloading a file and at the same time you are watching a video on YouTube, your download gets very slow because you are using the same internet connection for the download and video streaming.

Though the download doesn’t get interrupted in the computer but the downloading process tends to be extremely slow. In your case since you are using a Smartphone, the download can get interrupted if your call is using the internet.

If you receive the call using an app like Skype or WhatsApp which uses the internet, any file that is currently being downloaded will be interrupted which might lead to stopping of the download. If you don’t want this to happen, avoid receiving calls when you are downloading on your phone. Anyway, here are the specs for your phone.
