Why When Playing Games For Sometime My Computer Restarts

Greetings,

When I am playing World of Warcraft for a while, my computer monitor shuts down and I hear a beeping noise and then my computer restarts.  This usually occurs and it is affecting my gaming experience pretty badly.

I heard about this forum and I just wanted to try out, if I can find some solutions here. I'm thinking that something is wrong with my video card or some ventilation problem but I'm not very sure.  So I need the help of experts.

Thank you much for reading and If you have World of Warcraft account please add me as friend. 😀 player name: Tobywankenobi

Hello,

There are several reasons for this.

1. Overheating – Yes, overheating can cause this problem. One needs to check whether fans are working properly in CPU. If not, repair them right away.

2. Inadequate power supply – Some times, the graphic card does not receive required power supply while playing games. This might cause the problem.

3. There might be a problem with RAM also. Replace the RAM, your problem may solve.

Hi Toby, Try this.

1. Right-clicked ‘My Computer’ and click ‘Properties’.
2. Then choose ‘Advanced’ tab and then choose ‘Startup and Recovery’ and ‘Settings’.
3. Then go to ‘System failure’ un-clicked ‘Restart’ and other options are chosen.

Hope this could help.

Usually the unexpected shutdown usually occurs in the hardware which id the RAM.

Yes, all the comments are correct but sometimes we do understand the risk of   trying to run the systems when it wants to shutdown automatically if there's a problem existing. As the time passes by., the system that you currently using can affect some of our hardware and thus  an unwanted problem will occur.

So for me, its better to check your RAM then unplugged your graphic card and RAM then return it back to its slot. This will restart the device to refresh and adopt its installed parts.

The beeping sound usually done by the problem in RAM and the unexpected shutdown maybe occurs when there is any system failure running.
