I use my laptop a lot. However, I generally use an external USB keyboard and mouse along with it. Today out of nowhere the capslock key on the keyboard stopped working. Is the keyboard broken? Do I have to buy a new keyboard or can I fix it?
This is not an unseen problem. A lot of keyboards tend to have this problem after some use due to a number of factors. In most cases, if the keyboard is indeed malfunctioning, there is no other way than to buy a new keyboard.
First, you should connect the same keyboard to another computer to see if it works. If it works with another computer, this means that your keyboard is not broken. If this is the case, try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your laptop. If this doesn’t work, update the USB drivers on your laptop. If this is not the case and the keyboard does not work with any computers, then I am afraid that your keyboard is broken and you’ll have to buy a new one.
