Hi, I am giving the procedure to remove the error message “the Adobe product that installed media encoder is not activated” so that you can easily use the Media Encoder.

  • Go to Computer->C:->Program Files->Adobe->Adobe Media Encoder version name(e.g.CS4,CS6, it may vary for 32 bit computer)
  • Delete this file named “amtlib.dll.”
  • Then Go to Computer-> C:->Program Files->Adobe->Adobe Premiere Pro version name
  • Copy “amtlib.dll” from that location
  • Then paste the “amtlib.dll” to the location Computer->C:->Program Files->Adobe->Adobe Media Encoder version name
  • Restart Adobe Media Encoder.

Hope it will help you.

This problem has something to do with product activation. If you installed the Adobe product and you haven’t activated it yet since you first install it, this error means you need to activate your product. Until you activate your product, it will remain displaying this error and you won’t be able to use it. This problem is also common when installing a trial version of a program.

The error appears when the trial period expires. To fix the problem, buy a license and register your product. On the other hand, if the product is already activated but you still keep seeing this error, try to uninstall and reinstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select the affected Adobe product among the applications and click “Uninstall”.

Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then install the Adobe program back.
