My computer keeps on telling that new or higher version of video card is required, when I’m playing games. What is the reason why my computer needs this? And what is the video card all about?

Video card is an extension card that let the computer to send graphical information to a video display device like monitor. It has rectangular shape with many contacts on the underneath of the card and one or more ports on the surface for linkage to video displays and other devices.
Basic function of VC is to obtain information from the Central Processing Unit and transform it to an image, and then send that image to the monitor. Higher version of video card is required due to various reasons for example; changes to your OS or new software maybe the reason to conflicts with your video card or video card driver. If the maker of your video card has made a new driver, your problem can be solving by installing it. Upgrading your driver is another way to get benefit of a latest video format and avoiding such problems.
