Why do I get an Error when attempting to install NI software?

Hi Friends,

 

While installing the NI software, my installation will get failed with an error which refers to the installation of an assembly file. How to fix this error?

 

The “NI LabWindows/CVI 2012 Network Variable Library” installation has failed with the following error:

An error occurred during the installation of assembly ‘NationalInstruments.NetworkVariable version= “8.6.20.470”, culture=”neutral”, publicKey Token=”45444464CDEAAB541”, PROCESSORaRCHITECTURE=”X86’. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0X8002802F.

Why do I get an Error when attempting to install NI software?

Hi Hamilton,

Before you attempted to install the NI software, did you install a version of Microsoft .NET Framework? If so, did you reboot?

The error you mentioned is often seen when you attempt to install the NI software when the system has not been rebooted, see the following: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z000000PAPgSAO

If not, you might want to try re-installing your version from Microsoft .NET Framework.
