Which is better core i3 1st generation or core i3 2nd generation?

Intel presented the Core i3 1st generation on the year 2010 and later presented the Core i3 2nd generation on the year 2011. The first generation Core i3 were created on Nehalem architecture and the 2nd generation were created under the Intel's Sandy Bridge architecture that is 32nm micro.

And also, the 2nd Gen Core i3 processors has their newest innovation that develops the processor's graphic execution on the processors that are not available on the Core i3 1st generation. So I believe that the Core i3 2nd generation is excelling.

Which is better core i3 1st generation or core i3 2nd generation?

The 2nd Generation Intel core i3 having been made a year later that is 2011 is more expensive as compared to the 1st Generation. They both are equally fast and highly responsive due to Hyper Threading Technology which allows the processor core to work on two tasks at the same time thus better multitasking, but in addition the 2nd Generation has a turbo boost technology that increases speed and also has wireless connectivity to the TV giving clarity of up to 1080p which the 1st Generation does not have. Thus the second one is a better choice.

The distinction between the iCore generations are as follows:

– The 1st generation is created by the Nehalem architecture constructed on a greater clock speed and to be competent in terms of energy compared to the old architecture such as the Penryn type architecture.

– The 2nd generation is created by the Sandy Bridge architecture which is the recent micro architecture constructed with dual gate transistors. This means it is use layer through layer construction process. It also contains additional features on enhancing the graphical operations of the processor. Those processors are Intel Quick Sync Video, Intel InTru3D, Intel Clear Video HD and WiDi 2.0 Technology.

However, not all 2nd generation processors have the same features. There are various 2nd generation processor that doesn't have WiDi support or also called as the Wireless display. This allows you to display wirelessly between your laptop or desktop to your television. So you need to see the 2nd generation processors before you decide to buy.
