Where to get Mov wrapper reader

I am doing something on the pc and it says I need a Mov wrapper reader.

What is this?

What is it for?

I am just doing/watching a video.

Hello Dorothy,

One possible reason behind this problem is your Clips file extension must be .MOV and maybe you don't have QuickTime installed in your system.

If so then you may consider installing QuickTime player.

Heres the link for QuickTime

or VLC media player instead.

If you have QuickTime player and still keep seeing this problem.

Try updating the software.

If your Movie's file extension isn't .MOV or it's equivalent QuickTime file formats.

Then try viewing your Video from other available media player.

Where to get Mov wrapper reader

You don’t actually have a problem with the file. You only don’t have the proper software for it so you can play it on your computer. MOV files or files using the “.mov” extension name are QuickTime files. Other media players that don’t support this file format will not be able to open and play it. So to be able to play it on your computer you need to have QuickTime on your machine. So to fix it, you need to install QuickTime on your computer.

To download the latest version of QuickTime, visit Apple QuickTime.

You don’t have to install the codec separately because it is already available in the program. Install QuickTime after downloading it and then try playing your video again. QuickTime supports Windows XP Service Pack 2 and up, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Mac OS X. Besides playing “.mov” files, it can also play other formats like WAVE, AIFF, MIDI, QUALCOMM, GSM, AMR, AAC, CAF, AC3, and more including the formats shown in the screenshot below.
