Normally people use Task manager for killing processes. To in activate Task manager press Alt+ctrl+delete and start task manager. Than show the processes. Find the unnecessary ones and end them. But if any one wants an alternate software that can help him to kill unnecessary processes, then he may find some good ones. One of the best such software is "Kill Process 1.2.1.10". Its a free software. You may Download this from the site:

This software shall help to handle tough hang-ups.

I don’t think you still need to use a separate software or application just to do the job of killing or terminating processes because Windows itself has its own way of killing a process. Simply press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to bring up the Windows Task Manager and there you can kill a process running on the computer.

To kill a process using the Windows Task Manager, just select the Processes tab, click on the process you wish to terminate to select it, click End Process at the bottom of the dialog box, and then finally click Yes to confirm the task. There are also other applications that allow you to view the startup applications as well as access the Processes on the computer.

Norton SystemWorks is one. It has an option called Startup Application Manager that automatically opens the startup applications window and a window called Process Viewer where you can see all the processes on the computer which can also be seen in the Windows Task Manager.
