Hello friends,

What is the use of Firefox 5 codecs?

My friends told me that after the installation of my new Firefox 5 browser I also need to get some codec for it. But they cannot explain to me all the information I want to know.

Good day Young,

As for my understanding and some research i found out that it is a audio codec called OPUS.

It is a state of the art and first free audio codec that is to be standardized. It its said that it will achieve wider adopton that prior royalty-free codecs like speex and vorbis. And they are working on doing the same thing for video.
