3ds Max 2011, would I go for a higher processor or a higher video memory?

What I need most for 3ds max 2011,processer or video memory?

CPU and video memory are both are needed for better performance. But, they both contribute differently this means they control the system in a different time in a different manner. More CPU= Faster render times on the other hand, more Memory=Faster real time work flow.

Mainly everything that happens in your view port as when you are working it’s speed depends on your ram and video ram.. You may notice that your system will slow down when your 3d scene becomes huger, if your video card memory is low. A pert from that you need more time to render if your processor has low speed.
