What is an IP address? What is a private IP address? How can you access a private IP? In which circumstances do you need a private IP to be configured? What is a public IP? How can you access a public IP? Which are the organizations responsible for registering a public IP address?

An ip address is a unique number associated with every computer
that accesses internet. The main function of an ipaddress is to
identify the location and network interface identification. In
general two versions of ip addresses are present- IPv4(32 bit num)
and IPv6(128 bit num). A public IP address is an IP address that
can be accessed through internet by anyone. Network Information
Center(NIC) and Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) are
the organisations that are essential for registering a public
IP address.A private IP address is an IP address that is localised
to a LAN and for the Private IP address to be converted to Public
IP address then the network has to be configured.
