I am currently using wmp 11 in syncing my music files with my n96 phone. However, the syncing becomes really slow whenever I try to sync more than 300 files. Sometimes my phone even shuts down at the middle of the syncing process. Can you tell me what's wrong with this? Is it because my phone has some other issues or is it because wmp 11 is not really compatible with my phone? Can you suggest any compatible windows media player for nokia n96 other than wmp 11?

Hello Murz

Yes, wmp 11 works great with Nokia n96. There is one important thing about devices and applications, you need to update them all the time to be able to work perfectly the way we will wish. Secondly check for capacity left in you device in relation to the capacity of the stuff you are sending to the device to make sure it can contain all of the stuff.  Thirdly when you are running many programs at a time you device will be slower at its operations. Fourthly when copying too many files at a go your device will also operate slower than normal. Therefore, I recommend you update your device and application, check if the space is enough for the syncing, and sync a few files at a time. 300 files might be too big for the operation to carry. If it disturbs again uninstall and install a different copy.

Hello Murz, You might be encountering a faulty installation of your wmp 11 as a result of your phone rebooting itself during your sync. Or if your n96 completely shuts down and does not turn again then a battery problem might also be considered. Another cause would be a corrupted file or a song that you have downloaded, that would be a good cause for applications such as your phone's operating system to reboot. Doing a sync especially for larger files such as volumes of songs could also compromise the speed of your other running application and doing a sync using your mobile data and not WiFi could also make the syncing process slower. Also you might want to try out other music players such as vlc media or a flash player.
