Hi Marry,

The best browser for Linux is Firefox. They have developed this. When you’re going to install Linux automatically Ubuntu has Firefox or any Linux version. Firefox is most widely used internet browser today. It's very competitive in the market. I think this is the best and Google Chrome, as Google develops this browser it’s for all OS or should i say compatible with all OS.

I believe you are asking for the best file browser for Linux which can access NTFS formatted drives. If this is so, I would suggest you install the following applications for your convenience:

  1. Dolphin
  2. Gnome Commander
  3. Konqueror
  4. Krusader
  5. Midnight Commander
  6. Nautilus
  7. PCMan
  8. Thunar
  9. Xfe

There are many others, but these are the ones that is most used. But make sure the Linux distribution you are using support NTFS formats, as you would need a different application to install if you don't have one.

Lastly, try other Linux distributions, like Ubuntu, as most of the tools which you might need is included in their package, and they also have a package and update manager for your ease of use.
