I have a Windows 10 PC, and I am currently involved with a digital image processing project. I have come across these databases that are on my PC, and I want to use these files that are there, especially the Thumbcache files. So if anyone can suggest ways, it would help me a lot.

Thumbcache files are databases that are present from Windows Vista to Windows 10. These files contain thumbnail images of any content on your computer. You can see them when you hover a mouse over an image, it generates a thumbnail preview of that image. Windows will store that thumbnail in the Thumbcache database so that it can be retrieved later. The reason why Windows have provided this database is for faster retrieval of images and to save CPU time and memory.

So if you want to view the images stored in this database, then you need to have a cash Viewer. This Viewer lets you extract thumbnail images from the database files. The main menu in this Viewer will allow you to save entries, export entries to a CSV file, remove entries and verify the checksums, etc.

When an item is selected, a window will pop up previewing the thumbnail. You can move the image around with the arrow keys or with the mouse.

Keep in mind that, even if you delete to thumbnails does nothing to worry about because when you come across the image again, it will be stored but will occupy less space.
