Hi,

We generally have FPP, OEM and Volume licensing for the Microsoft products. Each of them have certain limitations. However, there are some more licensing types that are specific to government, education, schools, businesses, trust etc. You can search for such licenses and if you find yourself eligible for any one of them then you can hope for a big discount when you go for the Microsoft product nice. Hope this will entertain you.

Microsoft licensing is a very complex web of licensing software for individual of business use.

Basically Microsoft licenses can be categorized in three:

  • FPP (Full Packaged Products) or Retail licenses: most understandable for home user, this type of licensing gives user right to install uninstall and reuse on other machines and in some cases even make portable copies.
  • OEM licenses: The software that comes with the system purchase, being provided by manufacturers, contains these sorts of licenses. Making the installed software bound with the system, user can't use it for any other system.
