Hi there.  I have the 32 GB Acer Iconia Tab A500 that has the Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 chipset, Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 CPU, ULP GeForce GPU and Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich.  I notice a Media Server app.  What is Acer Media Server app for?

Hi Doriswneil.  You can use the tablet as a digital media server UPnP universal plug-in play.  You can share media files like videos and music then share it with other multimedia gadgets within your vicinity using WI-fi.  It may be used to run an application that will allow the users to access media from a remote location by using the internet.
