I encountered a friend who’s computer was water cooled. How is this possible? What benefits would I get from it? How much do those systems cost if I decided to one for myself as well. Will installation be easy? Thank you tecyV.com

Water cooling or liquid cooling is more effective than the fan that cools your CPU. This process follows the rules of thermodynamics. Cool objects absorb heat and hot objects become cooler as heat moves from the hot object to the cold object. Thewater cooling system installed in computers is basically like that of the car except that it has no anti-freeze agents added. The main advantage of this system is that it makes the CPU faster since the parts stay cool. It also reduces the noise coming from the computer compared to when you have a fan installed in the CPU. Water cooling kits cost range from $150 – $470. Installing could be intimidating but it is actually very easy. The hardest part would be taking your CPU apart. Take out the Motherboard and remove everything connected to it but be careful not to cut any wires. The next step would be to remove the heat sink where the cooling fan is located. Remember to take it out carefully. You can then install the water block and put the CPU back together. Before you put the casing back, check for leaks in your water cooling system.
