Want To Paint Concrete Pool Deck Any Advice?

The previous owner used a latex-based paint to paint the 1100 sq ft concrete patio surrounding the in-ground chlorine pool. It appears to be in need of a facelift. Any suggestions?

The concrete has a knockdown texture, but I’m not sure if I need texture paint. I have small children, so I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt. If it matters, I’m in Florida (UV protection?).

The majority of my research indicates that painting pool patios is a bad idea and that they should only be sealed/stamped. That is obviously not an option for me, so your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Want To Paint Concrete Pool Deck Any Advice?

Floor-Tex 40 Coating by Seal Krete is on our list of the concrete pool deck paint guide. It not only seals and repairs, but it also has the ability to keep the pool deck temperature stable. Fortunately, this Floor-Tex was made with a formula that protects the deck surface from chlorine and salt. Unlike other concrete pool patio paints, this one will protect your deck from the hot sun. The product appears in the form of a 6-gallon bucket of paint. However, when using the paint for the first time, the manufacturer recommends applying two coats in one go. There is also no need to mix anything in the paint before applying it.
