The VSE 8.5 version of virus scan installed in Exchange server

The VSE 8.5 version of virus scan is installed in our Exchange server. After enabling on access scan, we are having difficulties in sending emails. The emails are not sent.

They are simply on a queue and are accumulating on the server. If I disable the on access scan, the emails are all sent without any problem. When I installed the VSE 8.7 version, we still had the same problems. By the way, we are on EPO 4.5. Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Well, if you are able to send emails without an on access scan being on then it implies that the on access scan is the one blocking the emails from being sent, and therefore you will need to disable it to send the messages successfully. You can as well check the antivirus settings, in case you have set it that when the on access scan is the messages should not be delivered then you will need to change that. Also check the settings in the VSE application itself, there might be some settings that you might have configured in it too that are responsible for blocking the emails messages from  being delivered to the destination when the on access scan is enabled.
