VLC media Player setup error

Hello,

I am using Windows 7 OS but during the installation of VLC Media Player I received the following error message. I reinstalled the program but still have the same issue so I think I need your help to resolve this matter.

Hi Robert,

I looked up your problem on the internet and found out that many people have that same problem. A lot of them solved it by going to the VLC media player installer and right clicking on it and choosing Run as Administrator. That solved the problem for many users.

As mentioned above I would first try running the program as an administrator, If you are still having problems though please try this:

1.) Try disabling your antivirus while Installing. 

2.) Make sure all files from the first installation are deleted before trying to reinstall. I find a lot of times when getting these installer errors that is due to the active running antivirus.

While trying to install VLC 2.0 in your system the ‘Unable to Elevate, Error 1814’ error occurs because the system administrator does not have the sole authority and the permission to provide resources for the application to be installed in the system. The problem can only be solved by Right clicking on the VLC icon and select the option ”Run as an administrator”. It will solve your problem.
