I installed VLC media player after downloading it online but on running it for the first time, the error message below popped up. What could be the problem?

Please wait your font cache is rebuilt. This should take less than few minutes.

Hello Timothy, good to listen that you are going to use VLC Media Player.

The error message you are thinking is not any error message. It is a message that appears when you run your VLC first time after you have installed.

Building font cache is necessary for various purpose. VLC rebuilds font cache to show the subtitles for files/stream which appears in the bottom.

If it happens again and again and again,

1.       Go to Start menu >> type “run” and press enter >> type “%appdata%” and press enter.

2.       Delete the VLC folder and restart VLC. The process will run again and make fresh caches.

Be sure of using the latest VLC Media Player. It comes with many bugs fixed. Download it from here.
