Visual Studio 2008 appears to block Skype

Skype does not have any incompatibility issue with regards to any versions of Windows. The latest version of Skype supports Windows XP 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit, and Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.

If your machine is running with any of these platforms then you wouldn’t have any problems. But if you think Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 is conflicting with your Skype then try uninstalling them both.

When both applications are already removed, check your computer first for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

After checking your hard drive, install Skype first then try using the application afterwards. Configure it properly and then try using it to see if it works perfectly well.

If you think Skype is already working without seeing any errors like before, you may now install Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. This change in the sequence of installation will determine if both applications really clashes with each other.

After installing Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, open Skype and see if you will not encounter any errors. If, on the other hand, the error appears again I think the best solution is to change or replace Skype.

You can use Yahoo Messenger. Both applications are almost the same.
