Hello,

While I am using VBA to connect excel to jira I am always getting this kind of message. I get an error message "invalid number of arguments". I am wondering what is this error message all about and what is the best solution for this kind of error. Looking forward for the best solution you could ever offer. Thank you

You are probably doing it the wrong way that’s why you are getting this error when connecting Microsoft Office Excel to JIRA database. Try following these steps on how to properly connect your Microsoft Office Excel to a JIRA database and assuming that JIRA is connected to an external database. The following steps will describe the whole procedure using Microsoft Office Excel 2007 or later.

  1. Open Microsoft Office Excel then go to Data tab.
  2. Under “Get External Data”, click on From Other Sources then From Data Connection Wizard.
  3. Next, select Other/Advanced as your data source then hit Next.
  4. Then from the list of OLE DB providers, select your connection.
  5. Then from that point just follow the succeeding on-screen instructions.

See if this procedure will work on you.
