Using excel to track utility usage

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get a summary of the utility usage in my computer. Can we do it using excel to track utility usage? How can we possibly do it? Please help.

Yes, we can do it using excel. The utility usage can be tracked in an Excel sheet by taking a few utility bills, perhaps going back as far as a year. 
 
Create a spreadsheet with the values on the bill.
 
Values such as kilowatt hours (KWH), amount of the bill can be put in columns and the months in rows. This is just data entry.
 
Then we can apply formulas like average, min & max to see whether the average is rising or declining. This will then form a trend and can be compared with your neighbors.
 
Also, we can create a quick bar chart or line graph to see your trends at a glance. This is done by selecting the data and then Insert tab, then Charts, then Line.
