We automatically get a specific Internet Protocol (IP) address when accessing through dialup or broadband. Can anyone use this IP to access the service on their system, such as a webpage hosted on your Personal Computer (PC) using a port?

If the IP address is automatically assigned to the computer when you are using broadband or dialup, then you have to understand that is a wireless connection and it will just fine like that. But in case you will need to use the IP addresses for a cabled connection, then you will need to configure the IP addresses again, and this time make sure that they are of the right class, the gateways, DNS servers and subnet masks too need to be configured properly. You can also configure the network settings in that instead of allocating static IP addresses, the network uses dynamic host control protocol whereby the IP addresses are automatically assigned when you start a computer.
