I have windows 7 OS installed in my laptop and it seems to be working fine. All my friends have upgraded to awindows 8 but it has been just an year since I bought my laptop so I don’t want to spend again on getting a new upgrade. But as it seems like Microsoft is announcing new Windows versions every other day, how long will there be support available for Windows 7? When is the next version of Windows coming out? Is it really necessary to upgrade to Windows 8? What are some disadvantages I have to endure if I don’t?

Hello,

There’s no need to upgrade to Windows 8 if you’re not a psycho. Windows 8 is still the second after Windows 7 and unable to dominate if Windows 7 is forcedly eradicated from the world.

Windows 7 is the best for gaming and all other work. It’s light and low resource-eating OS whereas Windows 8 would take a large resource. The new Metro UI isn’t so good and will give you enough pain working with the new Start menu on Windows 8. Though Windows 8 is faster and smoother in runtime, Windows 7 is still the best for gaming. Even almost all software is still available for Windows 7 where Windows 8 would make trouble with many programs.

The support for Windows 7 is ending to upcoming January, 2014 where Windows 8’s support is still present until 2023. In this case, you can upgrade to Windows 8 if you’ve got enough fund. But if you’re out of fund or wish to stay with Windows 7, you’ve done the right choice.

The final decision depends on you as whether you’re a normal user or gamer or professional, the perfect Windows choice depends on your aesthetical choice.
