The error "MSVCR80.dll is missing" appears everytime I use PowerPoint viewer on Windows 7.

It would suggest reinstalling the application to fix the problem. I'd like to know if there are other alternatives I can try before reinstalling the program.

Thank you!

Unable to Locate Component

This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Yes you can go with the alternatives. For that you will have to manually locate the missing files and copy them to your hard drive at their appropriate locations but this could be really hectic. Plus you are never sure whether that would even work cent per cent or not because there is a complete difference between manually copying files one by one and installing the software by an installer.

The easiest and best approach would be to re-install the application back again. That won’t delete your data etc rather re-install the application (by installing the missing files) at their necessary place.
